The Aim

Treuddyn Village Hall secured grant funding and required a solution that demonstrated genuine value for money through a competitive public tender process. With eight bids submitted, the committee needed expert guidance to select a system that balanced performance, safety, reliability and long-term sustainability.

The Solution

A 5.28kW solar PV system using 12 Jinko 440W all-black panels with Enphase micro-inverters was installed alongside a 21.6kWh Solax battery and 10kW AC-coupled inverter. To address fire and insurance concerns, battery storage was housed in a bespoke vandal-resistant steel enclosure, with full monitoring and long warranties included.

The Outcome

The building now operates on over 80% of its own generated electricity, with early data showing performance exceeding 90%. Completed within a tight grant deadline and just five days on site, the project delivers long-term energy independence, reduced running costs and enhanced operational resilience for the community facility.
